"I believe though I do not comprehend, and I hold by faith what I cannot grasp with the mind."
~ St Bernard of Clairvaux
We were made in the image of God, and his love for us is so vast that He sent his only Son, Jesus, down from heaven to save us from our sins. He desires a personal relationship with each of us. And what better way to build that relationship than in adoration of him. Jesus teaches in the book of Deuteronomy "You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve."
In our Worship of God, we encounter Him in profound ways, especially through the Sacraments. The Sacraments, entrusted to the Church, allow for divine life to be dispensed to us through the work of the Holy Spirit. The Eucharist being the primary source and summit of our relationship with Christ Jesus allows us to encounter Him in real ways and receive His graces so that we might live out the life that He is calling us to. God is calling you to be a saint, to be holy, to be the best version of yourself in all areas of your life. But to live out this call, we have to remain rooted in God through the Sacraments & Prayer.
At All Saints, we strive to lead people to an encounter with Christ. Not just an encounter for a moment but for a life time! We offer opportunities for such encounters through our Sunday Masses and throughout the week with religious education, enrichment opportunities, and Confession.
In this time of COVID-19, we have been granted a dispensation of our Sunday Obligation by our Bishop, William Joensen. We know that many of our parishioners are choosing to join us virtually or to attend an in-person weekday Mass in place of their normal Sunday worship. Regardless of how you choose to join us, we encourage everyone to discover ways of keeping the Sabbath Holy whether joining us virtually or in-person.
