The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens our baptismal grace, deepens our relationship with the Holy Spirit, and empowers us to live as bold witnesses to Christ in the world. At All Saints, Confirmation is a two-year journey beginning in the 9th grade and concluding in 10th grade, designed to help teens grow in faith, build community, and claim their Catholic identity.
Monthly Saturday sessions (September - April, with breaks in December and over the summer) provide formation through catechesis, small group discussion, prayer, and service. We also incorporate two powerful weekend retreats - one in January (9th grade) and one in May (10th grade) -- to allow teens to encounter Christ in a deeper way.
Each student chooses a sponsor -- a practicing Catholic in good standing -- who serves as a mentor and guide throughout the process. Sponsors are encouraged to meet regularly with the teen and are expected to attend the Confirmation rehearsal and Sacramental Mass.
Teens are also invited to complete approximately 15 hours of service per year, giving them the opportunity to live out their faith through acts of love and charity.
